ICMC Weekend School
The 2023-2024 School Year Information
In-person Classes, taught on Sundays by experienced Teaching staff
Students to attend classroom periods on Sundays, with added breaks for snack/lunch, team sports & games for friendship & fun-time
Classes start at 10:00am sharp, and school ends AFTER the jammat Dhur prayers ending at 1:45pm

School year ends with Graduation in June 2024.

1.Goals & Objectives:
“To give your children the Islamic knowledge, skills, and practice in a fun and meaningful way, while also providing a great Islamic environment for friendship and practice.”
We want them to believe in Allah in their hearts and recognize that He is their Lord.
We want the children to be aware of their duty to Allah and to be motivated to do ‘Ibadaat’.
We want the children to have knowledge of the teaching and practices of Islam.
We want the children to have the curiosity to know why Islam is the best way of life.
We want the children to develop Muslim friends, excellent character, manners, and respect for everyone.
We want the children to be able to deal in excellent Muslim manners with non-Muslims and with compassion & kindness for the Needy
We want children to be proud of their Islamic beliefs, teachings, and heritage, and explain them to non-Muslims in a coherent and compelling way
2. Required Commitments for School Admission:
Parental Commitments:
Support their child/children to complete weekly homework
Timely response to Teacher requests.
Timely payment of Monthly School Fees
Respect all school rules and requirements, including student drop-off and pickup safety rules
Ensure Student attends the mandatory jamaat Dhur Prayers at school at 1:30pm
Parents are requested to attend the jamaat Dhur prayers with their children.
Pickup students right after Dhur prayers, and not before except for rare, written exceptions requested to the School Admin office,
Attending Dhur prayers is mandatory Dhur Prayers at 1:30pm, & parents are highly encouraged to attend.
Student Commitments - DOs and DO NOTs:
Do Respect & follow the School Rules of Conduct for school and classroom
Do Attend school punctually and regularly
Do Attend the mandatory, jammat Dhur prayers at 1:30pm
Do Respect and Listen to Teachers, Admin and other staff
Do conduct yourself good, helpful, responsible, and respectful to everyone, and play nice.
Do Keep cleanliness in school, including in prayer rooms, classrooms, lunch room, and bathrooms
Do Report immediately to School Admin, Teachers, or other adults if anything or anyone is bothering you, upsetting you, you are not feeling well, or if you see a problem, or a mess, or something is wrong or not safe.
Do Not use of digital devices (phones, watches, games, etc) in classrooms unless when an emergency use is asked of Teacher.
Do Not engage in physical or cyber bullying, name calling, pushing or touching others in-appropriately, or other misbehaving
Do Not touch or take others property without their permission
Do Not break, damage or mess up school property or other’s personal property
Do Not bring to school any form of harmful devices, such as guns, explosives, chemicals, knives, etc that pose physical or other risks at the school.
Do Not bring any form of sexual or pornography item to the school.
3.Weekend School Program & Curriculum:
The Weekend School is focused on providing basic Islamic education and Islamic values to your children.
We have a set program and a well-defined curriculum.
Our dedicated and talented staff of experienced teachers follow the curriculum, focused on four main areas, from basic to advanced levels of learning and practice:
Quran Hifz – Basic Surahs Hifz, Meaning, & Tafseer
Quranic Arabic – Reading, Tajweed, Vocabulary, Comprehension
Salaat - know the importance, learn and practice correctly
Islamic Studies & Good Deeds Projects - Aqeedah, Ibadaat, Ihsaan, Ikhlaaq, Learning Life of the Prophet, Islamic History, and lessons on applying Islamic guidance and practices based on Quran & Hadith
* Special Program for Youth (High School Students):
Advanced Quran Reading with Tajweed, Tafseer, and Discussion with Teachers and Islamic Scholars
Youth group planned and led giveback activities for the school and the community, and team-building fun activities.
4.Student Grade Levels:
Student Grade Levels are divided based on knowledge and age, from KG to Youth level classes.
The teaching of Islamic knowledge and subject matter will vary according to grade levels.
They should expect and try to make Muslim friends
They will learn new Islamic knowledge and skills progressively as they advance through the grade levels.
5.Students Evaluation & Placement:
The school will give NEW students a Quran Reading & Hifz Evaluation for the grade level placement.
Orientation classes will be offered to new students who need improvement in the first year.
Also at the start of every school year, the prior Level 3 and Orientation Class students will be evaluated to join the appropriate grade level.
